Yarn – Choose any yarn type that appeals to you, ranging from Lace weight to Sport weight. For this project, I used nearly 250g / 835m / 913 yards of Garnstudio Drops BabyAlpaca Silk on US 4 / 3.5mm needles, resulting in a beautiful shawl measuring 162 cm x 46 cm (64 x 18 inches) once blocked.
Needles – Select any needle size that corresponds with your chosen yarn; ensure it creates a light, airy fabric with excellent drape for optimal results.
Gauge is not a crucial factor for this project and will vary based on the yarn and needle combination you opt for while knitting.
Skills required for this delightful shawl include provisional cast-on, twisted stitches (tbl), yarnovers, ssk, and k2tog. If you’re eager to learn, this pattern serves as a fantastic opportunity to expand your knitting repertoire.
