YARN REQUIREMENTS: This pattern is designed for a fingering weight gradient set featuring six captivating colors. Make sure to allow approximately 155 yards (142 meters) of each color, totaling around 900 yards (823 meters). The structured design offers enough visual interest that you can also experiment with a single color or use two contrasting colors—one for the garter sections and another for the honeycomb sections. For the sample shawl, we used the Seven Sisters Arts, 1 Meridian Gradient Set in the beautiful colourway Marine Tonal Shift, which consists of fingering weight yarn totaling 180g (900 yards / 823 meters).
GAUGE: The gauge for the sample shawl is 20 stitches by 38 rows, which measures 10x10 cm (4x4 inches) in garter stitch after blocking. For best results, we used 4mm / US size 6 knitting needles.
Be sure to add this triangular shawl pattern to your knitting repertoire, and enjoy the meditative process of creating while working with stunning gradient colors or solid hues. Happy knitting!
