Sizing Information: This beanie is available in two sizes: Child (Woman) with finished measurements designed to fit head circumferences of approximately 21-22 inches (52-54 cm) and Woman size for 22.5-23.5 inches (56-58 cm). The sample shown in the photos is crafted in the Woman size, highlighting its chic design and perfect fit.
Gauge: Achieve the perfect fit with a gauge of 21 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch using larger US 6 (4 mm) needles. Additionally, for the intricate lace pattern, you'll need a gauge of 19 stitches and 27 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) with the same size needles.
Materials Needed: For this project, you'll need to select a quality sport-weight yarn. Our sample yarn is the luxurious Madelinetosh Tosh Sport, providing 100g of yarn with 247m (270 yards) per skein. The sample color used is Tern, utilizing 70 grams for a striking look. The required needles include US 2.5 (3 mm) and US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, both 16 inches (40 cm) long. You may also choose larger size double-pointed needles (dpns) for your cast-on if preferred. Be sure to adjust the needle size as necessary to achieve the correct gauge. Other essential knitting tools include a stitch marker and a tapestry needle for finishing touches.
