**Yarn Weight:** This pattern uses Worsted/Afghan/Aran weight yarn, requiring: 200g for sizes S and M and 400g for size L. In other terms, you'll need 1 ball for sizes S and M, and 2 balls for size L, translating to a total of 500m (546yds) for sizes S and M and 1000m (1092yds) for size L.
**Needles:** Ensure you have a pair of 4.5mm (US7, UK7) circular needles, with a length of 40-60cm (16-24in) to accommodate the scarf's circumference.
Gauge: To achieve the desired fit, your gauge should measure 10cm x 10cm (4in x 4in) = 18 stitches x 24 rows when worked in Stockinette stitch and blocked appropriately.
