Ink
Discover the elegant INK knitting pattern, expertly crafted to be worked seamlessly from the top down. This beautiful design begins with a provisional cast on, and features shoulder shaping achieved through short rows, allowing for a tailored fit. Once the front and back pieces are joined at the underarm, the project transitions to working in the round, creating a smooth and polished finish. The sleeves are beautifully integrated by picking up stitches around the armhole, which are then knitted down in the round for a flawless silhouette. Finally, the neck is completed as the finishing touch.
Size Options: The INK pattern accommodates a range of sizes, available in S (M1 – M2 – L – XL). This oversized design is intended to provide 20 cm (7 3/4") of positive ease at the bust, ensuring a comfortable and stylish fit. The bust measurements are as follows: 102 (113 – 117 – 132 – 140) cm / 40 (44 ½ – 46 – 52 – 55) inches. The sample shown is in size M1, highlighting its chic and versatile nature.
Yarn Recommendation: For the best results, we recommend using Concept Silk Tweed by KATIA. This luxurious blend comprises 72% Silk, 14% Mohair, 9% Nylon, and 5% Wool, offering both warmth and elegance. The yarn is available in 140 mt / 50 g skeins, and you'll need approximately 6 (7 – 8 – 10 – 11) skeins, which equates to 800 (900 – 1100 – 1300 – 1500) mt for your project.
Needles Required: To create this stunning piece, you will need circular needles that are 40” (100 cm) long. If you prefer not to use the Magic Loop method for smaller circumferences, shorter lengths or double-pointed needles (DPNs) can also be utilized for the sleeves. For achieving the correct gauge, we recommend a set of US 5 (3.75 mm) needles and US 3 (3.25 mm) needles, or adjust needle sizes as necessary to meet your desired gauge.
Start your next knitting adventure with the INK pattern, and enjoy the satisfaction of creating a beautiful, bespoke garment that will be a cherished addition to your wardrobe.
