Isabelle
After the delightful experience of creating my previous design, Murron, I was inspired to craft another stunning sweater featuring a unique Japanese stitch. This new design, named Isabelle, is not only beautiful but also practical, as it is worked in a top-down compound raglan style entirely in the round. This means you can knit with ease, without the worry of tackling intricate lace on the wrong side, making it perfect for knitters at various skill levels.
The compound raglan construction of the Isabelle sweater provides a more flattering fit by varying the rate of increase to more closely follow the natural curves of the body. This approach ensures that the finished garment hugs your figure beautifully. The enchanting stitch pattern enhances the overall design, adding depth and creating visually intriguing lines along the edges of the sweater that evoke a romantic and timeless aesthetic.
For this design, I chose Shibui Staccato, an exceptional yarn that truly brings the project to life. With its soft and smooth texture, Shibui Staccato offers wonderful stitch definition and a beautiful sheen, making it the perfect choice for this artistic design. The array of stunning colors available in this yarn only adds to its allure, allowing each knitter to create a unique piece. As part of the Braveheart theme, I decided to name this lovely sweater Isabelle after Princess Isabelle from the beloved film, Braveheart.
If you’re interested in making your own Isabelle sweater, please note that while Shibui Staccato was used for the sample, an alternative yarn is suggested for those looking for other options. Join the knitting adventure and embrace the charm of the Isabelle sweater today!
