Introducing the Jane Beanie, a charming and girlish hat that is effortlessly knitted in the round, from the bottom up. This delightful knitting pattern features a beautiful zig zag lace design, making it perfect for showcasing various yarn types, including solid, multicolored, or tweedy worsted weight yarns. By knitting your hat at a tighter gauge, you can create a warm, cozy accessory in no time! The Jane Beanie is designed to have a bit of negative ease, which enhances the open texture of the lace pattern.

This versatile pattern includes both regular and slouchy versions, allowing you to choose the style that suits you best.

Sizes: Available in Child size and Adult sizes (S, M, L).

Yardage: For the regular version, you will need approximately 100 (110, 120, 140) yards / 91 (101, 110, 128) meters, and for the slouchy version, about 120 (140, 150, 180) yards / 110 (128, 137, 165) meters of heavy Worsted or Aran weight yarn.

The stunning grey sample of the slouchy version is knit with Polo & Co. Masgot, made from 100% organic wool (291 yards/266 meters per 100g, color Silex). The vibrant multicolored sample of the regular version is created using Noro Silk Garden, a luxurious blend of 45% Mohair, 45% Silk, and 10% Wool (110 yards/101 meters per 50g; shade 341).

Gauge (after blocking): Achieve a gauge of 21 stitches and 28 rows = 10 cm/4 inches in the lace pattern using a larger needle (unstretched). In stockinette stitch, aim for 21 stitches and 26 rows = 10 cm/4 inches on the larger needle.
