Yarn: This pattern requires Aran weight yarn, with approximately 440 yards (402 meters) needed to complete the project. For our sample, we used Cascade Yarns Casablanca, which features 220 yards (201 meters) per skein, made from a luxurious blend of 59% Wool, 24% Silk, and 17% Mohair. We chose the beautiful colorway 02 Denim, but feel free to get creative with your own color selections!
Gauge: To ensure a perfect fit, achieve a gauge of 19 stitches x 26 rows over 10 cm/4” when worked in pattern. This will help your cowl have the ideal structure and warmth.
Needle: You’ll need a US 7/4.5 mm needle for this project, so be sure to have it handy before you start knitting.
