Jennifer the Giraffe
Sincerely Louise: Knit Your Own Jennifer the Giraffe!
Welcome to our fourth Scrap Yarn Challenge featuring the delightful Jennifer the Giraffe! This charming knitting pattern was inspired by a hank of Sweet Georgia yarn in a vibrant pink shade, paired with half a ball of a slightly sparkly DK yarn. Having this precious hank in my stash for two years, I knew I needed to create a truly special and unique design. Our favorite suggestion came from Jennifer, who proposed fashioning it into a giraffe to honor April the giraffe, who was eagerly expecting her calf at the time.
This delightful giraffe pattern is originally knitted using Sweet Georgia Super Wash DK, but don’t worry if you don’t have that specific yarn! This is a scrap yarn challenge, meaning you can use any DK weight yarn you have on hand. To complete your lovely giraffe, you will need one ball of your main color, one ball of a contrasting color, a small bit of black yarn for embroidery, as well as stuffing, cardboard, and two 10mm safety eyes equipped with washers.
Finished Size: 37cm x 20cm x 17cm
