This delightful cardigan comes in a variety of sizes: 30¾ (35½, 41¾, 47½, 51¾)" bust circumference when buttoned. The sample shown (coming soon!) features a 35½" size, modeled with an easy-going 3" of positive ease, ensuring a comfortable fit that’s perfect for layering over your favorite outfits.
Yarn
For this project, we’ll be using The Plucky Knitter Cozy, a luxurious blend of 90% merino wool and 10% baby camel. You’ll need 6 (6, 7, 8, 9) skeins of the beautiful Wintry Mix colorway. This equates to approximately 1385 (1560, 1820, 2080, 2255) yards of yarn—specific yardage may vary by size and personal knitter preference!
Needles
Prepare your knitting supplies with a Size 7 (4.5 mm) needle and a Size 5 (3.75 mm) needle. Don’t forget to adjust your needle size as necessary to achieve the correct gauge, ensuring your finished cardigan fits perfectly.
Notions
Gather your essential notions for this KAL: stitch markers (m), a cable needle, stitch holders or waste yarn, removable markers (rm), a tapestry needle, and 4 buttons, each measuring 1". These tools will help streamline your knitting experience!
Gauge
To guarantee the best results, aim for a gauge of 26 stitches and 32 rows per 4 inches in the Cable Pattern, using the larger needles. Proper gauge is essential to achieving the desired fit and texture for your cardigan.
