Introducing the exquisite shawl I designed and lovingly dedicated to my sister, who truly is the best sister anyone could ever ask for. I miss her
terribly as we are separated by distance, making this elegant piece all the more special. The shawl, affectionately named JudyB, is a beautifully simple crescent-shaped design that combines luxurious silk and soft cashmere, ensuring it drapes gracefully around your shoulders. This lovely shawl is the perfect way to keep warm while exuding sophistication.

JudyB is crafted in
garter stitch, featuring delicate lace and reversible cables that are skillfully integrated using short rows. This technique not only enhances its unique shape but also adds visual interest and texture. The result is a stunning shawl that is both eye-catching and timeless, just like my beloved sister.

Finished dimensions after washing and blocking:

Approximately 17.5“/95 cm in height and 51“/130 cm in width. The wingspan expands to about 67”/170 cm when pulled straight, making it an ideal accessory for various outfits.

Skill Level: This pattern is perfect for beginner to intermediate knitters who are eager to enhance their skills while creating a wearable work of art.

Yarn: You will need approximately 750 yards (685m) of sport weight yarn. I chose to use 2 skeins of Madelintosh Pashmina, totaling 720.0 yards (658.4m) in the gorgeous color known as forestry, sourced from www.yarnoverberlin.de.

Needles: Use US 6/4 mm needles for the best results.

Notions: Don’t forget to have some stitch markers on hand to help you keep track of your work!

Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 20 stitches per 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch after blocking. While achieving exact gauge is helpful for sizing, it should be noted that gauge is not imperative for this pattern's success.
