June Bugs Mitts
These delightful summer mitts feature a charming lacy insert, perfectly crafted to capture the essence of warm sunny days. The intricate lace pattern is inspired by the renowned June Bugs stitch from Vogue Knitting Stitchionary, volume 5. Paired with vibrant, bright colors of yarn, these mitts evoke a sense of summer bliss, which is why I chose to name them after this cheerful season. The main body of the mitts is knitted in smooth, soft stockinette stitch, while the edges are thoughtfully folded in and seamed to prevent any rolling, ensuring a polished finish. For your convenience, I've knitted these lovely mitts using the Magic Loop technique, but they are versatile enough to be easily crafted using double-pointed needles (DPNs) as well. I've intentionally provided measurements in inches instead of rows, allowing you the freedom to try on the mitts as you go and customize your preferred length. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced knitter, this pattern will inspire creativity and add a splash of summery flair to your wardrobe.
