Juno Lucina Shawlette
Welcome to the June 2013 pattern for the Twisted Head to Toe Club. This month, I’m excited to share a special shawlette design inspired by my second baby girl's birthday on June 2nd. I chose the enchanting name "Juno" for this shawlette, as it resonates with both beauty and meaning. Juno Lucina, an aspect of the goddess Juno, is associated with light and childbirth, perfectly aligning with the spirit of this design.
The construction of this shawlette is both enjoyable and user-friendly, making it a delightful project for knitters. The unique rate of increase in the design results in longer arms than many traditional shawls, enhancing its wrap-around appeal. This makes it an ideal accessory for those unpredictable Spring weather patterns, providing warmth when needed while maintaining a stylish look.
As for yarn requirements, please note the following: for color A, you'll need approximately 400 yards; for color B, around 75 yards; and for color C, about 300 yards.
Skill level: This pattern is suited for advanced beginners, as it includes a lace pattern and an I-cord bind-off technique.
Size/Finished measurements: The finished shawlette measures an impressive 84 inches across and 22 inches deep at the center, making it a stunning addition to your wardrobe.
Join us in celebrating the whimsical spirit of Juno with this beautiful shawlette, perfect for any season. Whether you are knitting for yourself or as a thoughtful gift, this pattern promises to add a touch of elegance and warmth to any outfit.
