When I was invited to create a unique pattern for Candy Apple Lane, my main goal was to showcase the stunning array of vibrant colors that Jen is renowned for. Each skein tells its own story, making this design the perfect canvas for her artistic yarns.

The shawl, aptly named Katerina, means “pure” in Russian. It is dedicated to my dear friend who shares this name, celebrated for her pure heart and the joy she brings into my life. The colors selected for this lovely shawl are also her favorites, adding a personal touch to this special design. This shawl is constructed from the top down, allowing for an easy and enjoyable knitting experience while utilizing both variegated and semi-solid yarns throughout the project. The slip stitch pattern, paired with an elegant edging, creates a beautifully textured appearance that elevates this otherwise simple pattern.
