Knitted Baby Orangutan

Introducing an incredibly adorable baby orangutan knitting pattern, crafted from a single ball of King Cole Tinsel chunky (bulky) yarn! King Cole Tinsel yarn is surprisingly easy to work with, despite its fluffy appearance, and I’ve included some handy tips and tricks within the pattern itself to make your crafting experience seamless. Whether you are a seasoned knitter or just starting out, this pattern is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all skill levels.

In addition to the main orangutan yarn, you'll need some small amounts of chunky yarn in light brown and beige to complete the adorable face, hands, and feet. This adds a unique touch and brings your knitted orangutan to life!

I've sewn the limbs onto the body in a cleverly designed way, allowing for slight movement, which enhances the overall charm of the finished toy. You'll find detailed instructions for this technique included in the pattern, ensuring you create a fully functioning and playful orangutan.

Keep in mind that the yarn used can shed fibres. Consequently, I’ve included 10mm plastic toy eyes to add an expressive look to your orangutan. Please note that due to these small parts, this toy is not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
