Yarn Information: This pattern uses 100% wool yarn, specifically BC Loch Lomond, which comes in 50g skeins with a generous yardage of 150 meters. Each skein is sufficient for all sizes, so you can confidently complete your project with just one skein. However, if you are uncertain about the adult size, I recommend purchasing two skeins to ensure you have enough yarn for your project.

Recommended Needles: For this project, you'll need a 4mm or 4.5mm 40cm (16 inches) circular needle for round knitting. Additionally, 4.5mm 20cm double-pointed needles (DPNs) will be required for the decreases, allowing for a perfect finish.

Tension: Achieve the proper tension of 20 stitches and 28 rows to ensure your final project turns out beautifully.

Available Sizes: This pattern accommodates a range of sizes, including Small Kids, Big Kids, and Average Adult. The finished sizes without stretch are 44cm for Small Kids, 48cm for Big Kids, and 52cm for Average Adults. The size fits head circumferences of 46-49cm for Small Kids, 50-53cm for Big Kids, and 54-57cm for Average Adults.

I originally designed this pattern using BC Loch Lomond yarn, which is perfect for this project. However, please note that Love Crafts does not carry this specific yarn in their online shop.

As an excellent alternative, I recommend using Rowan Felted Tweed as a substitute for the original yarn. Alternatively, you can select any yarn that meets the required gauge of 20 stitches to achieve great results.
