Spread love, hope, and a little knitted magic to a child who has lost everything with our heartwarming pattern!
The mission behind Knot Forgotten is to provide handmade toys to children living in extremely difficult situations, bringing them comfort and joy during tough times. Knot Forgotten was originally founded as a compassionate response to the Syrian refugee crisis, and its outreach has since expanded to include children of persecuted Christians around the globe.
Since its inception, over 2800 charming toys have been lovingly crafted and donated by talented makers from more than 20 countries. Each toy carries a heartfelt message of love, joy, and support, ensuring that every child knows they’re not forgotten, even in their darkest moments.
This delightful knitting pattern is designed to be worked flat on straight needles, allowing you to create a wonderful toy that can be enjoyed by a child in need. For this project, you'll require a pair of 3.00mm knitting needles and some spare DK yarn in a variety of cheerful colors to make your toy come to life.
Additionally, double-pointed needles (DPNs) are used to create the i-cord for the bee's antennae, giving your knitted creation an adorable finishing touch. Alternatively, you can use a circular needle if that suits your knitting style better.
Join us in making a difference—knit a toy, spread some love, and help us make sure no child feels forgotten. Download your free pattern today from Pear Dinkum and start crafting a little joy!
