Introducing the Kraska shawl, a stunning triangular piece that artfully combines intricate lacework and rich texture to create a truly unique accessory for any wardrobe. Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just starting, this pattern is perfect for showcasing your skills.

Personalized Size - One of the standout features of the Kraska shawl pattern is its repetitive nature, which allows you to easily customize the size of your shawl. Simply add more or fewer repeats to tailor the dimensions to suit your personal style or needs, making it a versatile project for knitters of all levels.

Yarn Selection – Ideal for various yarn types, the Kraska shawl can be crafted in fingering to sport weight yarn. You have the option to use cake yarn, or opt for a tonal or solid color yarn for a more classic look. The beautifully pictured Shawl was created using sock weight yarn, specifically Twirls from Cotton Kings, in the eye-catching colour #25 Azurite. For this project, I used US size 4 – 3.5 mm needles. To achieve a large, cozy shawl, I utilized the entire skein of 200g (7.05 ounces) which provided approximately 800m (845 yards) of yarn, resulting in a finished size of approximately 80 x 208cm (31 ½ x 84”) once blocked.

Needles – It's essential to choose the right needles based on the yarn you decide to use and the level of lace effect you wish to achieve. Your choice here can greatly impact the final look and feel of your Kraska shawl.

Gauge – For the pictured shawl, I achieved a gauge of 22 stitches and 35 rows, equating to 10 cm in stockinette when blocked. This gauge ensures that your shawl will have the correct proportions and drape beautifully.

Embrace your creativity and enhance your knitting repertoire with the Kraska shawl pattern. Perfect for gifting or adding a stylish layer to your outfit, this shawl is a must-have addition to your collection. Download the Kraska pattern today and start your journey into the world of lace knitting!
