Needles Required: You will need one set of 3 mm double-pointed needles (DPNs) or a circular needle if you prefer the magic loop method. Don’t forget a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge: 27 stitches per 10 cm (4 inches)

Skills Needed: To successfully knit the Kyushu hat, you should be familiar with the following techniques: knitting in the round, long tail cast on, back loop cast on, lace knitting, basic decreases, and using DPNs (or the magic loop method).
