[link text][1] Mark your calendars—the pattern will be available for purchase starting February 20th, and the KAL kicks off on March 6th, running for a fantastic 4 weeks. As always, our KALs don’t have a strict end date, so feel free to join in whenever it suits you!

This exquisite and feminine design can be crafted as either a ponchette or a shawlette, providing versatility to suit your style. The Lady Suffragette pattern features a delightful blend of stockinette and lace, making it the perfect spring accessory that adds a touch of elegance to any outfit. Both written instructions and chart options are provided, catering to knitters of all levels!

To get started on your Lady Suffragette, you will need:

  • 1 100-gram skein of Wolle’s Color Changing Cotton OR
  • 480 yards of your favorite tonal or solid fingering weight yarn (please avoid variegated yarns to maintain the design's integrity).

For the knitting process, gather the following tools:

  • Size 5 16” circular needles or size 5 double-pointed needles (dpn’s), which are necessary for the cast-on and the first few rows only.
  • Size 6 24” & 40” circular needles for the main body of the project.
  • Stitch markers to help you keep track of your progress.

Keep in mind that the Lady Suffragette is not designed to be a full-sized poncho or shawl. This charming piece measures approximately 12 to 14 inches in height and around 120 inches in circumference. The final size will depend on your knitting tension and how thoroughly you block it, so adjust accordingly for your desired look!

Get ready to create a stunning accessory that embodies both style and craftsmanship. Join the Lady Suffragette KAL this March, and immerse yourself in a community of passionate knitters. Happy knitting!
