This exquisite shawl is crafted using Pascauli Yarns’ Cairo 8, but if you're looking for alternatives, alpaca yarns work perfectly for this project. Perfect for cozy evenings and special occasions, this shawl will elevate your knitting collection.

Supplies Needed: For this project, you'll need any DK weight yarn that is a blend of alpaca, camel, or even bamboo. You'll require a total of 438 yards (400 meters). In my project, I used 2 hanks of Pascuali Yarn, Cairo 4, Color 10 Ochre, DK-8ply, which offers the perfect balance of softness and warmth at 438 yards/400 meters total. Additionally, for the knitting tools, you'll need #7 (4.50mm) needles on 24” cables. Don't forget the miscellaneous supplies: a darning needle to weave in ends, stitch markers for easy tracking, and blocking mats and pins, as blocking is the key to making this shawl absolutely fabulous!

Gauge: To ensure your project comes out perfectly, aim for a gauge of 18 stitches and 24 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch. With its clear instructions and straightforward techniques, The Lady's Mantle Shawl is not just a knitting project—it's an opportunity to create a cherished accessory that showcases your craftsmanship.
