Lena's Shawl - knitting pattern

Lena's Shawl

$8.00

In June 2015, my vibrant Ravelry group celebrated its one-year anniversary, and to mark this special occasion, I invited group members to collaboratively design this stunning shawl. Featuring a harmonious blend of Japanese and German lace, intricate texture, and elegant beads, it embodies community creativity. Coincidentally, the anniversary of the group falls on my beloved cat Lena’s birthday, inspiring me to name this delightful piece *Lena’s Shawl*. You have the option to choose between creating a Faroese shawl or a unique triangle shawl with subtle shoulder shaping, designed to keep it securely in place. This pattern offers both charted and written instructions for your convenience. A heartfelt thanks goes out to my talented tech editor, cupani, and my dedicated test knitter, pinhappy, whose contributions were invaluable.

**Size:** - Faroese: 180 cm (71”) wingspan, 80 cm (31.5”) deep - Triangle: 165 cm (65.25”) wingspan, 80 cm (31.5”) deep

Gauge: 20 stitches and 40 rows = 10 cm (4”) in garter stitch. (Please note that while gauge is not crucial for this specific project, it may influence the final size of your finished object and the amount of yarn required.)

**Skills needed:** - Lace Knitting - Japanese lace stitches (fully explained in the pattern) - Twisted stitches - Knitting on a border (detailed instructions and a tutorial link are provided in the pattern)
