This design was inspired by my beloved Lilli Pilli Wrap, and after much anticipation, I finally decided to translate that elegance into a shawl format that’s both chic and practical. The pattern caters to various skill levels and includes both written and charted instructions for the intricate lace section, making it accessible for knitters who enjoy both formats.

The Lilli Pilli Shawl is shown in the stunning Love and Speckles line, featuring Singles yarn (fingering weight, 100% Superwash Merino, 400 yd/366 m per 100 g). The color combinations used in the sample include C1: Empress Teal, C2: Soft Mint, and C3: Dark Teal, showcasing how beautifully these hues contrast with one another.

GAUGE: Achieve 22 sts and 42 rows = 4”/10 cm in Lilli Pilli Stripes, blocked; and 20 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10 cm in Lilli Pilli Lace, blocked. While gauge is not crucial for this project, variations can impact yardage and final dimensions, allowing for personal tweaks that align with your knitting style.
