Little Gracie
My cousin's family is eagerly anticipating the arrival of a baby girl, and she wanted to create something special for her little princess. Inspired by this occasion, I designed the delightful Little Gracie Cardigan pattern and taught her how to knit it. I absolutely adore the beautiful color choices and can't wait to see how the cardigan looks on the precious baby.
The Little Gracie Cardigan is expertly crafted flat, from the top down, ensuring a seamless and fun knitting experience. This charming pattern offers a range of sizes to accommodate growing little ones, including 0-3 months, 6-9 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, and 7 years. The chest circumferences for these sizes are approximately 46 cm, 48 cm, 50 cm, 53 cm, 56 cm, 58 cm, 61 cm, 65 cm, and 68 cm, respectively, making it perfect for any baby girl.
When it comes to length, the cardigan measures about 34-36 cm, 38-40 cm, 42-44 cm, 46-48 cm, and 50 cm at the back, designed to fit comfortably as your little one grows. For this project, I recommend using Paintbox Simply DK yarn, with the number of skeins required varying from 2 to 4 in the main color (MC) and an additional skein in a contrasting color (CC). The total yardage required for the different sizes ranges from approximately 350 to 850 meters.
To create the Little Gracie Cardigan, you'll need circular knitting needles (40/60 cm) and double-pointed needles (3 mm and 4 mm). Additionally, it would be great to have markers, stitch holders, and buttons on hand to complete your project. The recommended gauge for this pattern is 24 stitches by 30 rows, which equals 10 x 10 cm in stocking stitch using 4 mm needles after blocking.
Thank you very much for considering this delightful cardigan pattern! I hope it brings joy to your knitting experience. Enjoy creating something beautiful for the little princess in your life with the Little Gracie Cardigan pattern!
