Whether you prefer using two or three colors, you can customize the look of these socks to match any occasion. When paired with the coordinating Laurel Bonnet, they create a perfect, cozy set for every little one in your life!
**Materials Required:** To craft your Little Laurel Socks, you will need fingering (ply) weight yarn in three delightful colors: Oat (90-135 yds/82-123 m), Indigo (100-140 yds/91-128 m), and Earth (80-130 yds/73-123 m). These yarns will not only provide warmth but also a soft touch against your child's skin.
**Needles:** For this project, you’ll need US 2 and 3 (2.75 mm and 3.25 mm) double-pointed needles or a 24”/61 cm long circular needle if you prefer the magic loop method.
**Notions:** Be sure to have the following notions at hand: scrap yarn for the afterthought heel, a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, a tape measure to ensure perfect sizing, and stitch markers to help keep your place as you knit.
**Gauge:** To achieve the best fit, the gauge in stockinette stitch is 14.5 stitches per 2 inches (or 14.5 stitches per 5 cm) on the smaller needles (blocked) and 14 stitches per 2 inches (or 14 stitches per 5 cm) on the larger needles (blocked). This ensures your Little Laurel Socks will turn out just right!
With their engaging pattern and cozy fit, the Little Laurel Socks are sure to become a cherished favorite. Get ready to indulge in a delightful knitting experience that results in a beautiful, wearable keepsake for the little ones you love!
