Little Mesa
This beautiful knit sweater pattern is designed to be worked in the round from the bottom up. The construction begins at the hem, with the body knitted seamlessly before the sleeves are crafted separately in the round. Once completed, the sleeves are joined to the body to create an elegant raglan yoke design. To finish off this stunning piece, a button band is expertly picked up, adding the perfect finishing touch. This pattern features a delightful Fair Isle design throughout the body and on the sleeves' cuffs, making it both stylish and cozy.
This charming sweater pattern was formerly known as the Navajo Pullover on the Petite Purls website, and it has retained its appeal among knitting enthusiasts. When knitting with the Fair Isle technique, it's important to remember that this method creates a fabric that does not allow for much stretch. Therefore, it is highly recommended to select a size that provides approximately 2-4 inches of chest ease. This extra room will make it significantly easier to slip your arms into the sleeves, ensuring a comfortable fit.
Finished chest circumference sizes are as follows:
19 (20, 22, 23½, 25½, 26½, 28½) inches. This range makes it a great pattern for a variety of body types.
Yarn Requirements:
- 7524 Chocolate Milk (Main Color - MC); 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4) hanks
- 7500 Ice Cream (Contrast Color 1 - CC1); 1 hank.
