Little Star Newborn Hat

This adorable hat, designed for newborns and infants, is knitted from the bottom up on straight 4mm needles. You also have the flexibility to use circular needles if you prefer! The design begins with a few rows of ribbing, adding a lovely texture, before transitioning into the charming intarsia stars that truly make this hat unique. After the starry design, we will make gradual decreases to shape the hat’s crown, bringing the entire project together beautifully!

The hat is tailored for newborns (7-9lbs) and infants around 3 months (10-12lbs). However, please keep in mind that every baby is unique, so these weight guidelines are meant to assist you in your selection.

This knitting pattern is ideal for beginners eager to dive into the world of intarsia for the first time. When I was learning intarsia, I started with small and simple patterns like this one to build my confidence.
