Lough Erne Celtic knotwork tunic - knitting pattern

Lough Erne Celtic knotwork tunic

$5.80

Introducing our beautiful, loose-fitting but gently tailored raglan tunic, perfect for your next knitting project. This innovative top-down design is crafted seamlessly, featuring elegant closed-ring cable motifs and stylish side slits, as well as slit sleeves that add a contemporary touch.

The tunic's length varies for sizes M to XL, measuring approximately 70 to 76 cm, making it a flattering choice for various body shapes. With an underarm sleeve length of about 45 cm (measured from the armhole), this tunic promises both comfort and style.

This knitting pattern includes two versatile versions for you to choose from. In Version 1, the front is subtly short-row shaped, enhancing the fit around the bust for an elegant silhouette. If you prefer a simpler construction, Version 2 offers an identical back and front, apart from the neck shaping, making it a great option for novice knitters or those looking for a quicker project.

The majority of the knitting is done in the round for a seamless finish, with just a few small sections requiring flat knitting. A bit of experience with cable knitting will enhance your experience, though it’s not mandatory! Our pattern is suitable for any DK yarn that provides good stitch definition.

For the best results, I highly recommend using a wool yarn such as Karisma Superwash by Garnstudio, which is beautifully showcased here in Blue Turquoise. Depending on the size you are making, you will need approximately 14 balls for M, 15 for L, and 16 for XL, with each ball containing 100 metres per 50 g.

Please note that the images provided showcase Version 1, featuring the shaped bust design in size L.
