Love: Faith-Hope-Love Series
“Three things will last forever: faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love.” This inspiring quote from 1st Corinthians 13:13 (New Living Translation) beautifully encapsulates the essence of our newest knitting pattern series: Faith-Hope-Love. This design is a reimagined version of my earlier work, specially crafted for a collection of three double-knitted hats.
The Faith hat features a meaningful cross symbol, representing belief; the Hope hat showcases a beautiful candle flame, signifying positivity; and the Love hat is adorned with a heart motif, embodying compassion and affection. Each hat is not only stylish but also fully reversible, meaning you have the versatility of two designs in one! To tackle this project, some experience with double-knitting is beneficial, although it’s not entirely essential for those with basic knitting skills. An Italian tubular cast-on method in two colors sets the stage for this fun knitting venture. You will require approximately 120 yards of each contrasting color in DK 8ply merino or a blend of your choice. Additionally, make sure to have a 3mm and a 3.5mm circular needle with 40cm cables, along with 3.5mm double-pointed needles (DPNs) or a long cable for the crown decreases.
