Lynda Socks
For years, I resisted the idea of knitting socks, thinking they would be too complex. However, after joining a local knitting group, I was captivated by my friend Lynda, who effortlessly crafted sock after sock each week. Eventually, I couldn't resist any longer and purchased my first sock yarn. Lynda quickly introduced me to several fantastic books on sock knitting, and after completing my first pair, I was completely hooked! This special sock pattern is my heartfelt thank you to Lynda for guiding me into the wonderful world of sock knitting. It's also the first design in my exclusive Knit Night Collection.
These delightful socks are knitted from the toe up, featuring a classic gusset and heel flap construction enhanced with short rows for a perfect fit. The stunning instep pattern and decorative elements around the leg create a beautiful look, while the sole is knitted in smooth stocking stitch for comfort. Keep in mind that the gusset length depends on your row or round gauge, so a bit of optional math is included to help you achieve that custom-fitted feel.
The patterns in my Knit Night Collection are designed to be needle-neutral, allowing you to use any knitting tools you prefer. Whether you favor DPNs, short circulars, or long circulars with the magic loop technique, you can easily create these socks. Be sure to visit my designer page to explore other unique patterns in this collection, each one crafted to inspire and delight knitters of all skill levels. Thank you for joining me on this exciting knitting journey!
