Craft: Knit

Difficulty Level (based on CYC Project Level definitions): 2 - Easy

Techniques / Skills: long tail cast on; knitting in the round and joining to work in the round; knits and purls; knit 2 together.

Yarn: For the Macari Hat, we recommend Premier Yarns So Woolly #6 super bulky yarn or a similar super bulky yarn for best results. The sample uses:

• Color 1: Raindrop, approximately 25 [25, 32, 32] [41, 45, 53] [60, 60, 71] yards
• Color 2: Water Lily, approximately 5 [5, 9, 12] [12, 14, 14] [20, 20, 22] yards

For the finishing touch, create a pom pom approximately 3 3/8" in size using the Clover Pom Maker, requiring about 60 wraps on each side and around 15 yards of yarn.

Needles: You'll need Size US 15 / 10.00 mm double-pointed needles (DPNs), or use a size needed to achieve your desired gauge for a perfect fit.
