Marisol's Blanket
We're excited to share that 1/3 of the price of this beautiful knitting pattern will be donated to Southall Black Sisters, a vital charity supporting Black and minority women. By purchasing this pattern, you're not only creating a lovely project but also contributing to an important cause.
**Yarn Information:** This pattern uses DK Yarn with the following yardage options: 440m, 640m, 900m, 1200m, 1540m, or 1920m. Our sample was expertly knit in Mirasol Yarn, which champions the Mirasol Project dedicated to supporting the children of alpaca farmers in the stunning Andes region. Please note that Mirasol Yarn is no longer available, but we recommend using a silk mix from Manos del Uruguay to achieve a similar luxurious effect.
**Tension Details:** For this pattern, you will need to achieve a tension of 20 stitches and 30 rows per 10cm. Proper tension is crucial for ensuring your final piece turns out as expected.
**Size Options:** This versatile pattern is designed to create a beautifully square blanket in the following sizes: 52cm, 63cm, 74cm, 85cm, 96cm, or 107cm. Whether you’re looking to make a cozy throw or a baby blanket, there's an option for every occasion!
**Needles Required:** A pair of 3.75mm needles will work perfectly for this project. For the best experience, we recommend starting with appropriate sock needles, transferring to a short circular cable, and eventually, a longer cable circular as your blanket expands in size.
For those comfortable with different knitting techniques, you may also choose to use the Magic Loop method or any other suitable technique for knitting small circumferences in the round, ensuring flexibility in your crafting approach.
With its engaging pattern and generous donation component, this knitting project is perfect for knitting enthusiasts who want to create something special and make a positive impact in the community. Start your knitting journey today!
