$7.00

Marmalade is an exquisite basic triangular shawl design that is ideal for beginner knitters who have a bit of experience with cables or those looking to explore simple cable techniques. This pattern offers versatility, allowing you to stripe it according to the detailed instructions or customize it with fewer or more colors. For those who prefer a classic look, you can even create it using a single color. Marmalade is especially great for utilizing your leftover yarn scraps, making it an eco-friendly choice for knitters!

This stunning shawl requires fingering weight yarn held double, or alternatively, you can opt for DK weight yarn for a slightly different texture. The interplay of yarns creates a beautiful, luxurious fabric that envelops you in coziness. In our sample, we used Dapper Dye Works Lustre, a luxurious yarn blend made of 100% Superwash Merino, boasting a yardage of 437 yd (400 m) per 100 g skein. The sample incorporates the following colors held double: C1 Fields of Gold (215 yd / 197 m), C2 About Last Night (187 yd / 171 m), C3 Bronzed Barrel (68 yd / 62 m), and C4 Marmalade Sun (107 yd / 98 m).

For added softness and warmth, we held the yarn with Dapper Dye Works Foxy, which is a premium blend of 72% Mohair and 28% Silk, offering 455 yd (416 m) per 50 g. The stunning effect of the yarn combination truly brings the Marmalade shawl to life. The complete pattern utilizes approximately 373 yd (341 m) of yarn, making it an efficient project for using up your yarn stash.

Upon completion, the Marmalade shawl measures approximately 33” in depth and 66” in wingspan, or 84 cm in depth and 167.5 cm in wingspan, making it the perfect accessory to wrap yourself in during chilly evenings. Dive into your knitting journey with Marmalade, and experience the joy of crafting your very own beautiful shawl!
