This is primarily due to the unique texture of the yarn, which can pose some challenges for beginner knitters. However, if you choose to make this sweater using regular yarn, an advanced beginner who has mastered the basics of knitting—such as basic decreasing, picking up stitches, and is ready to learn the three-needle bind-off (and optionally, the invisible sewn bind-off)—will find this pattern quite manageable.
