This pattern incorporates my new favorite technique: Double Knitting! For those who are new to this exciting method, I've included several step-by-step photos to guide you through the process and ensure your success as you create this stunning cloche.
You'll need Size US#7 16" Circular needles for ALL sizes. However, for the special double-knit band and tie, select either US#5 needles for a small hat or US#6 needles for a medium hat. If you're crafting a large hat, stick with the US#7s for the band as well.
Worried about making it for a little one? No problem! You can easily customize this pattern to fit a small child's head by using US#5 needles for the tie and US#7 for the hat, but be sure to knit 6 fewer rounds in the pattern for the perfect fit.
