Mittens with Snap-On Coffee Sleeve
It’s winter, and you find yourself feeling cold and craving that comforting cup of coffee. But wait—did you forget your reusable coffee cup sleeve at home? No need to fret! Imagine the satisfaction of effortlessly reaching for your own built-in coffee sleeve conveniently stowed around your wrist. With a stylish flourish and a quick snap, your coffee cup sleeve is securely attached to your mitten, providing an extra layer of insulation for your precious beverage.
These mittens are designed to be one size fits all, but their unique construction allows for easy customization in length to fit your desired hand size perfectly. The mitten cuffs and coffee sleeve are crafted using a slipped stitch repeat that creates a beautiful textured look, equally appealing from the wrong side. For this pattern, I opted for Paton's Kroy sock yarn in a lovely Flax color; notably, just one ball was barely sufficient for crafting both mittens and the coffee sleeve. The sleeve is knitted using four 2.75mm double-pointed needles, while the mittens require four 3.5mm double-pointed needles to ensure a snug fit. Additionally, you will need four snaps to complete this delightful project.
This knitting pattern is perfect for the klutzy individual, the environmentally conscious craftsperson, and those who love to showcase their fashionable flair. Whether you are a seasoned knitter or just starting out, this project offers a fun blend of functionality and style. Knit yourself a cozy pair today, or consider making some as a thoughtful gift for friends or family this winter season. Elevate your knitting game and keep your hands warm while sipping your favorite warm beverages—all while contributing to a sustainable lifestyle!
