Introducing our delightful cuff-down sock pattern, perfect for knitters of all skill levels! This pattern features a beautifully simple texture design at the front of the foot, providing an engaging visual contrast to the plain stockinette stitch at the back. Additionally, you’ll find a slightly modified slipped stitch heel flap that enhances not only the aesthetics but also the fit of the sock. These socks are both easy and relaxing to knit, making them an ideal choice for those cozy evenings or travel knitting projects.

For this project, we recommend using fingering weight yarn, with a total yardage of 400 m in a 100 g skein. For our sample, we utilized ONline Supersocke, Degrade-Color in colorway 2330, which contains approximately 170 m per 40 g. Depending on the size you choose, you will need approximately 300 (340, 415) yards, or 275 (310, 380) meters. Please note that yardage may vary depending on your gauge and the specific yarn you select.

You'll need US #1 / 2.25 mm double-pointed needles (DPNs) or a circular needle if you prefer the magic loop method. Adjust your needle size as necessary to achieve the correct gauge.

The gauge for this pattern is 32 stitches and 42 rounds to a 4” (10 cm) square in stockinette stitch on US #1 (2.25 mm) needles, knit in the round and blocked for the best results.

This pattern is designed for adults in sizes S (M, L), with finished measurements as follows: Cuff circumference measures 7.5 (8, 9) inches, or 19 (20, 23) cm around. The foot is adjustable and measures 9 (10, 11.25) inches, or 23 (25, 28.5) cm in length. With these dimensions, you'll create comfortable and stylish socks that fit beautifully!

Whether you're looking to knit a new pair of socks for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a loved one, this cuff-down sock pattern is a fantastic addition to your knitting repertoire. Dive into this enjoyable project today and experience the satisfaction of crafting your own cozy knitwear!
