Materials Needed
To create these fabulous socks, you will need any 4-ply sock yarn. For the best results, I recommend using a solid or semi-solid color to highlight the textured design. The sample was worked using Ginger’s Hand Dyed Sheepish Sock yarn, which is a lovely blend of 80% Blue Face Leicester and 20% nylon, with a yardage of 365 meters (399 yards) per 100g skein. The shade used in the sample is Cheer Up Charlie, requiring just 1 x 100g skein.
You will also need 2.5mm (US2) needles for working in the round, four to six stitch markers for ease of knitting, and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends once your socks are complete.
