The pattern is suitable for any Aran weight yarn, allowing you to select a yarn that meets your comfort and aesthetic preferences. For your main color, you’ll need approximately 806m - 994m, while Contrast Colour 1 requires 403m - 497m, and Contrast Colour 2 needs just 20m - 33m—perfect for using up leftover yarn or choosing striking color combinations.
As for tools, regular knitting needles will do, as long as they are sufficiently long to accommodate the size of the project.
