When designing Mystic Air, I explored various techniques to create a unique square shawl. Ultimately, I chose to combine several innovative methods to produce a truly distinctive piece. The shawl begins with a carefully knit straight square for the center portion. Stitches are then picked up around the edges, and a captivating section featuring drop stitches is worked in the round, adding depth and texture. Finally, the enchanting border is created with a knit-on edging, resulting in dynamic knit rows that travel in multiple directions. While the construction is fairly complex, the pattern is designed to be user-friendly, making it accessible even for those who are newer to intricate shawl designs.

This exquisite shawl is knitted with 3.5 mm needles, utilizing two skeins (200 g) of luxurious Alpaca Cashsilk yarn from Tri'Coterie. Each skein provides a generous 1,200 meters per 100 grams, and the shawl is crafted in the elegant Bella Swan colourway.
