This stunning fingerless mitt pattern features an elegant traveling twisted-stitch wave design, beautifully flanked by reverse stockinette and seed stitch textures. Perfect for both beginners and experienced knitters, this pattern is designed to keep your hands warm while allowing for full dexterity.
Instructions for the unique cable pattern are charted only, providing a clear and visual approach to the design. It is highly recommended to utilize the "cable without a cable needle" method for faster and easier results, allowing you to focus more on your crafting enjoyment.
Please note: One skein of the recommended yarn, Heilo, was sufficient to create the medium size mitt, but there were only 2 meters of yarn remaining. As every knitter's tension varies, we suggest purchasing an extra skein for peace of mind. If you're fortunate enough not to need it, consider making a second pair for a friend or loved one—sharing the joy of knitting is always a delightful option! :-)
The beautiful wave cable pattern used in this design is a modified version of a cable featured in the Am Kamin sweater from the book "New Style of Heirloom Knitting" by Toshiyuki Shimada, ensuring that this pattern boasts both style and tradition.
The sample shown is crafted in Dale Garn Heilo, a high-quality yarn known for its durability and warmth. Below, you’ll find a suggested substitute yarn that works wonderfully for this pattern, allowing you to customize your project according to your preferences.
Embrace your creativity and add this stunning fingerless mitt pattern to your collection today. Happy knitting!
