Welcome to the delightful world of knitting with our Nightsea Socks pattern, expertly crafted using the stunning Easyknits Deeply Wicked 4ply yarn in the vibrant Electric Boogaloo colourway. This superwash merino wool not only offers warmth and comfort but also showcases a beautiful stitch definition that brings your creations to life. These toe-up socks are designed for both comfort and style, and we’ve employed the innovative German Short Row heel method, eliminating the need for the traditional wrap & turn stitches. However, feel free to substitute your preferred heel method if you have one you love!

The pattern is thoughtfully provided in both written and charted formats, making it easy to follow for knitters of all skill levels. Whether you're an experienced knitter or just starting out on your knitting journey, our comprehensive instructions will guide you every step of the way.

Available in two sizes - small/medium and large/extra large - the Nightsea Socks fit a foot circumference of 17.5 - 21.25 cm (7 - 8.5 inches) or 22.5 - 27.5 cm (9 - 11 inches), ensuring a snug and cozy fit for everyone. To create your socks, you will need 2.5mm circular needles with an 80-100 cm cable length for the magic loop technique. Alternatively, you can opt for 2.5mm double-pointed needles if you prefer that method. Don’t forget to grab a tapestry needle and some stitch markers, which may come in handy during your project!

The following stitches are used throughout the pattern: K (knit), P (purl), KFB (increase by knitting into the front and back), K2TOG (knit 2 together), SSK (slip slip knit), YO (yarn over), RND(S) (round(s)), STS (stitches), MDS (make double stitch), DS (double stitch), RPT(S) (repeat(s)), WS (wrong side), and RS (right side). These techniques will help you create beautiful, intricate designs and achieve that perfect fit.
