The actual hat circumference is slightly smaller, designed to snugly fit the head:

The length from crown to hem measures as follows:

• XS/S: 20 cm (8 in)
• M: 22 cm (8.75 in)
• L: 24 cm (9.5 in)

MATERIALS

For this project, you will need the following materials:

• Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend DK (DK weight, 70% Extra Fine Merino, 30% Silk, 135m/148yds per 50g skein) - Approximately 48g (53g for size S, 58g for size M, 63g for size L) of Orinoco (2444).
• A set of 3mm (UK 11/US 2-3) double pointed needles (DPNs) or a circular needle, 40cm long.
• A set of 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) double pointed needles (DPNs) or a circular needle, 40cm long.
• A stitch marker to help keep track of your stitches.

TENSION

For best results, maintain a tension of 24 stitches and 38 rounds to achieve a 10x10cm gauge over the pattern using 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) needles. This will ensure your hat fits perfectly and retains its shape beautifully.
