"The ocean beach I frequently visit is bordered by picturesque dunes, vibrant sea grass, fragrant wild rose bushes, and an abundance of deer that roam the serene north end. Nestled within those dunes lies a charming boardwalk leading to an almost 200-year-old lighthouse, a source of inspiration for my knitting designs.

Introducing Norfolk — a stunning cardigan that captures the essence of my tranquil walks along this beautiful coastal path. With its prim, elegant raglan design, Norfolk features a wide, flowing shawl collar, a flared bodice, and gracefully shaped sleeves that provide both style and comfort. This cardigan is the ideal companion for an evening stroll by the beach or a cozy night in when the air conditioning is set a tad too high. The Norfolk cardigan is uniquely crafted in one seamless piece from the bottom up, making it as enjoyable to knit as it is to wear.

Construction Notes:  This beautiful jacket is worked flat from the hem to the underarms, allowing for easy handling of stitches. The sleeves are expertly knitted in the round from the cuffs to the underarm, ensuring a perfect fit and seamless look. Once the sleeves are completed, they are joined with the body and worked back and forth to complete the neck area. To add a final touch of elegance, stitches for the collar are carefully picked up around the neckline, and the collar is shaped with short rows, giving it a sophisticated finish.

Sizing:  The Norfolk cardigan is designed to be worn with approximately 2” (5cm) of positive ease, allowing for comfortable movement and a flattering silhouette. Whether you're out enjoying the salty sea breeze or curling up indoors, this cardigan will keep you stylish and cozy.
