Introducing the stunning cap, a unique creation by talented designer John Crane, inspired by my popular Swedish North Halland Sweater workshop. This exquisite hat design is a tribute to the incredible Beth Brown-Reinsel, who has dedicated her work to bringing historical knitted garments to life for modern knitters. John’s thoughtful gesture truly embodies the spirit of our knitting community!

This beautifully crafted hat is knitted in the round, starting with the stylish band that showcases the iconic stranded North Halland motif. A special lining is incorporated to conceal the stranding, providing a clean finish that enhances the overall aesthetic of the hat. After completing the band, the crown of the hat is worked seamlessly. An added feature is the carefully designed visor, which is picked up directly from the band. For those who prefer a structured look, a plastic piece can be inserted into the visor to stiffen it. (Rest assured, a convenient template for the visor piece is included in the pattern.)
