Numberblocks: Two!

Free

Welcome to the world of Numberblocks, where One plus another one is two! This delightful knitting pattern for Two is the second exciting installment in my enchanting Numberblocks series. After successfully creating One, join me on this epic quest to further populate Numberland with our cuddly characters!

This adorable Two is designed to be knitted in the round on 4.25/4.5 mm double-pointed needles (dpns) using Aran weight yarn. However, don’t worry too much about gauge; you can easily substitute with a lighter weight yarn if you prefer your Numberblocks to be smaller in size. The construction of this charming character features a body that is worked seamlessly in one piece, and the face is skillfully added with duplicate stitch before you dive into the decrease rounds (a helpful chart is provided for your convenience!). The arms and legs are crafted separately, making for easy attachment at the end of your project.

For my Two, I used approximately 60g of vibrant orange yarn, along with small scrap amounts of purple, pink, black, and white for the limbs and facial features. Additionally, you will need stuffing to give your Numberblocks their cuddly shape, a tapestry needle for sewing, and stitch markers to help keep track of your stitches (though these are not essential). This pattern is perfect for knitters with some basic skills; the techniques required include casting on and joining in the round, knitting, purling, kfb, m1r, m1l, ssk, k2tog, three-needle bind off, and duplicate stitch.

Embrace your creativity and bring Two to life as you enhance your knitting skills with this engaging and fun pattern. Whether you're a seasoned knitter or a beginner, the Numberblocks series is a fantastic way to express your love for knitting while crafting adorable toys for children and collectors alike.
