Nun Facecloth - knitting pattern

Nun Facecloth

$3.50

The letter “nun” (pronounced noon) in Arabic holds significant meaning as it is the first letter in the word for Nazarene, a term historically used as an epithet against Christians. In recent times, this letter has become a powerful symbol, marking homes and businesses of those targeted for destruction and persecution. Unfortunately, it serves as an extermination notice for many Christians facing genocide in the Middle East. However, these individuals have embraced this epithet with pride, unashamedly acknowledging their faith in challenging times. To support them, I have created a beautifully designed graph featuring the letter "nun," which can be used to make a facecloth. This facecloth can serve as a thoughtful gift, a charitable item, or a personal reminder of the struggles faced by these communities. I encourage you to consider donating these facecloths, perhaps alongside bars of soap, to those in need. Additionally, they can be sent with heartfelt notes to refugee camps where essential sanitary items are scarce, and where Christians often experience discrimination and harassment. Together, we can make a difference.
