Nutkin

This delightful sock design is inspired by the charming Beatrix Potter character, Squirrel Nutkin, beloved for his cheeky antics and adventurous spirit. Nutkin, a playful red squirrel, lived with his brother and cousins in a picturesque wood at the edge of a tranquil lake. In the middle of this serene lake lay an island, home to the grumpy owl, Old Brown. One crisp Autumn, Nutkin and his adventurous friends bravely sailed over to the island to feast on abundant, ripe nuts, though they soon discovered that Old Brown wasn’t too keen on their arrival!

After a thrilling escapade filled with unexpected twists and turns, Nutkin managed to escape back to his cozy home—not without a few scrapes and bruises along the way!

This enchanting sock design aims to evoke the playful and adventurous spirit that Nutkin must have felt while scurrying around the island in search of tasty treats. The design features tall, whimsical trees that beautifully run down the center of the front of the sock and extend along the back of the leg. Flanking these trees are delightful towers of stylized acorns, adding extra charm and character to the piece.
