Nîle
Nîle is a beautifully crafted knitting pattern that is expertly worked seamlessly from the top down, making it a delightful choice for knitters looking to expand their skills. The construction begins with the back part of the collar, which is knitted first from a cast-on at the center of the back. From there, stitches are skillfully picked up along the long edge of the collar to create the fronts, sleeve caps, and back. This pattern features a wide, intricate panel framed by 1x1 ribbing and soft stockinette stitch, running elegantly down the back. Raglan increases are utilized to shape the yoke, providing a flattering fit and silhouette. Once the sleeve stitches are placed on hold, the body is worked back and forth until reaching the hem. After completing the body, the sleeve stitches are then picked up, allowing you to work the sleeves in rounds from the top down to the cuffs, creating a seamless and polished finished garment.
Yarn
For this stunning pattern, we recommend using Polo & Co Bellac (291yds/266 m per 100g).
You’ll need 4 (5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6) skeins, shown in the beautiful color Suie. This yarn is not your typical sport weight yarn! If you decide to substitute, it's essential to choose a yarn that achieves the correct gauge while ensuring the fabric does not become too loose. Testers had excellent results using alternative yarns, such as Malabrigo Rios and The Fibre CO Arranmore Light.
The sample is designed to be worn with a comfortable 3.25” (8 cm) positive ease at the bust, enhancing its wearability and style.
