The KAL will run until October 31st, giving you ample opportunity to craft your masterpiece.
The design inspiration for these delightful socks derives from literature, particularly drawn from a captivating series of urban fantasy novels by the talented author Seanan McGuire. The October Daye series takes readers on thrilling adventures through modern-day San Francisco, with fascinating tales unfolding in the East Bay, South Bay, Silicon Valley, and beyond. As a local San Francisco girl myself, it's a true delight to read about fairies, dragons, and magical happenings occurring right in my own back yard.
As we meet October (Toby) Daye, she's not just an ordinary character—she's a part-fae knight and private detective with an adventurous spirit. During her pursuit of a mysterious case in Golden Gate Park, she finds herself transforming into a koi fish in the enchanting Japanese Tea Gardens. This magical transformation unexpectedly costs her a decade of her life—10 years stolen away! Join us in crafting these enchanting socks that embody the whimsical spirit of Seanan McGuire's world while celebrating the beauty of knitting. Don't miss your chance to be part of this literary-inspired knitting adventure!
